This website was produced through the University of Mary Washington's History 428 class: Adventures in Digital History, in the Spring of 2020. The contributing members are Erin Andrewlevich, Hunter Dykhuis, Dennis Gill, and Anna White.
Erin is working on a major in History and a minor in Business Administration. She began college in Fall 2016 and plans on graduating with the class of 2020, making this her last semester of undergrad. Post grad plans include an internship with Disney which is expected to start in the fall.
Hunter is currently working on getting a major in History and a minor in Computer Science. He started college in 2016 at Northern Virginia Community College, then transferred to Mary Washington in Fall 2018. He is hoping to graduate in Spring 2021. He is a military child that has moved all over the place between 2009-2015 moving a total of 5 times throughout those years. Over the years, Hunter has lived in interesting places such as Minnesota, Kansas, Kentucky and Virginia.
Dennis is currently working on getting a major in History and has been in college since 2014 starting at Germanna Community College. After receiving his associates degree in General Studies, he transferred to the University of Mary Washington where he initially was a computer science major and switched over to history. Currently, he is hoping to graduate in Winter 2020 and is looking forward to the future.
Anna is currently completing a major in Historic Preservation with a minor in Museum Studies and is considering a career in museum work. She began college in in the Fall of 2018 and plans on graduating in Spring 2022.
Major support and contributions to this project include our professor Dr. Jeffrey McClurken, UMW's Digital Resource Librarian Angie Kemp, the National Park Service and specifically Luisa Dispenzirie for providing the collection, the Lake of the Woods Civil War Study Group and specifically Josef Rokus for providing transcripts and other extensive resources regarding Jerome Peirce.
