Good bye my comrade, friend, good bye.
Our paths awhile diverge indeed.
Mine yet om earth ‘neath changing sky,
Thine o’er an ever blooming mead.
I’ll not forget thee soon, Jerome.
Thy honored name, thy friendship true,
The pleasant hours of talk and stroll
That I have oft enjoyed with you.
In heaven thou’lt not old friends forget.
Our pilgrim paths all center there.
And, reunited, soon or late,
We’ll all breathe heaven’s sublime air.
Ben [???] Edmands
